My name is Colton, I'm a Husband, Father, Pastor and (now) a creator!

Incredible moments have always been something I’ve been passionate about. There’s something about the beauty of a sunrise, the perfect moment in a smile, that super sick hit-stick or dunk, and often even just every-day moments that are incredible and inspiring things. Those moments may seem like fleeting things, but the reality is that (as God has sovereignly purposed all things) there are no insignificant moments. Our goal at Kairos Cut-Ups is to capture those moments, so that the memories they create can last a lifetime. The reality is, life runs by quick— high quality photography and videography can help make those moments slow down and stay in our sights.

The Word Kairos is Greek for “The right or critical moment; An opportune or appointed time”, and Kairos Cut-Ups exists just for that purpose. To catch the right moment, the right way, so that it stays that way— For as long as possible.

Through years playing and coaching sports, creating media for all sorts of different social media pages in the community, and always having a creative itch— I took the time to pick up a camera. Now I don’t just make things, I capture moments. And I would love to help capture some of the moments in your life too!

A Little About Me: I am 26 years old, I hold a bachelor's and master's degree from Crown College, and have just been accepted to Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to pursue a Doctor of Ministry degree later in 2026. I am husband to Gretchen Andrea (I met her at Bible Camp in 2016), and Father to Charis Andrea (She’s two!) and two Golden Retrievers, Goose and Maverick; I am in my fifth year as the Associate Pastor to Youth and Families at Swan Lake Evangelical Free Church in Cottonwood, Minnesota (come visit us), I love talking to people, studying theology, reading books, playing video games, exercising creative outlets, and listening to incredible stories of all kinds (I also love lifting, though I often fall behind on it these days). I played two years of college football while at Crown as an offensive lineman and am now on my fifth year coaching offensive line at Lakeview High School and serving as an FCA leader as well. You might see me walking around with a playbook, camera, or Bible; it could really be any of the three at any given moment.

I started dabbling in photography about two years ago with my wife’s old 2013 Canon EOS Rebel and video I did with my IPhone— With those severely outdated pieces of machinery, I caught a great love for capturing things that were happening around me. Since then, I’ve upgraded, and now (as of early 2026) shoot photography and videography with a new Sony A7V (a really cool hybrid camera)!

My faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is inseparably tied to my work, there’s no way around it, and no way to hide it, and If there’s one verse of scripture I always consider when practicing my craft (whether teaching, preaching, enjoying or creating), it’s this: 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” I desire to make use of the gifts and talents that God has given me to best magnify Him in my life, primarily through and by creating art as an outlet to bring glory to God (and helping you enjoy His creation through visual mediums).

All that to say, I’d love to work with you! Whether you need some Senior Photos, general photoshoots, video work, graphics, or anything else, there’s nothing I enjoy more than working with others and helping them create a story and meet a need!
